Marble doesn’t just make a beautiful floor. This popular material is made from calcium carbonate, a very effective neutraliser. Do you suffer from acid reflux? The purest forms of marble are often crushed into a powder, processed to remove impurities and then used to make products that treat acid indigestion. Gear up to clean marble using…
- A non-abrasive sponge or soft microfibre cloth
- Two buckets of warm water
- A pH-neutral cleaner solution (never use an acid-based cleaning solution on a marble floor!)
- Dry soft towel
Achieve gleaming marble floors by…
Step 1: Add some cleaning solution in the warm water. In small quantities, pour this brew over the surface.
Step 2: Use your cloth or sponge to clean the surface in circular motion.
Step 3: Rinse the cleaned area with warm water to avoid accumulation of solution.
Step 4: Dry the area once rinsed well making sure no water puddles are formed.
What about newly installed marble floors?
Such stones are porous and can easily absorb spillage stains. This can be remedied by applying sealer to the surface, making it stain resistant. We advise that you apply sealer once a month. If in doubt, consult your marble floor technicians for their recommendations.
