A simple wind-down routine tells your body and brain that the day is coming to an end.

It can help you feel calmer.

It can reduce the feeling of being rushed.

And it can make it easier to enjoy a better night’s sleep.

What This Looks Like in Real Life

Your evening wind-down might include:

• Turning off screens a little earlier

• Making a cup of herbal tea

• Reading a few pages of a book

• Writing down tomorrow’s top priority

• Tidying one small area

• Taking a warm shower

• Sitting quietly for five minutes

The routine does not need to be long.

It just needs to help you move from busy mode into rest mode.

Action Exercise

Tonight, choose one small thing that helps you slow down before bed.

Do it without rushing.

Then notice whether it helps you feel calmer and more settled at the end of the day.
