This week’s Positive Monday is about a simple way to take control of your emotions when things feel a bit overwhelming.
Name what you’re feeling.
Why It Works
When emotions build up, they can feel confusing and hard to manage.
But when you stop and label the feeling— “I’m feeling stressed” or “I’m feeling frustrated”—something shifts.
You move from being caught up in the feeling… to observing it.
And that gives you back control.
What This Looks Like in Real Life
You might use this when:
• You feel pressure building during the day
• A conversation doesn’t go well
• You’re feeling overwhelmed by your workload
• Something small starts to feel bigger than it should
Instead of reacting, you pause and simply say:
“I’m feeling…”
That alone can reduce the intensity.
Action Exercise
Today, if you feel off at any point, pause and name the feeling.
No need to fix it immediately—just notice it.
You’ll find that clarity reduces the emotional load.
